2022: Wedding venues in Essex

Over the years, I’ve performed close-up magic at many Essex weddings, and I’ve visited some of the best Essex wedding venues in the county as a result. I thought this would be a great time to revisit some of those venues in case you’re looking for ideas about where to hold your own wedding.

Vaulty Manor

It’s easy to see why Vaulty Manor is such a popular venue. The beautiful oak barn that dates back to the 16th century, acres of stunning gardens and grounds, a hall and a patio area, as well as a bridal suite and accommodation for up to 55 guests. A great venue for a summer wedding, with fantastic views across the countryside. Civil ceremonies can take place inside the barn or in the grounds. And everything will be taken care of by an in-house events and catering team.

Blake Hall

Blake Hall, Weddings

Blake Hall – Essex Wedding Venue

With two magnificent 17th-century barns and an area for outdoor ceremonies, as well as 60 acres of formal gardens and woodland, Blake Hall provides a tranquil and romantic setting for your wedding – you could even be serenaded by birdsong during your outdoor service! This lovely venue is set in a rural area but is close to Epping, Brentwood and Harlow and within easy reach of both the M11 and M25.

Quendon Hall

If you’re looking for a fairy-tale venue set in a deer park with nothing to spoil the view, Georgian manor house Quendon Hall could be your ideal place. With a romantic Pavilion, as well as different rooms for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, it can accommodate weddings of all sizes, from 50 to 500 guests, and its capacity for big parties makes it a very popular Asian wedding venue. Indeed, staff at the venue have a great deal of experience hosting multicultural weddings. The venue is also happy to accommodate ‘dry hire’ weddings if you want to use your own suppliers.

Maidens Barn

The Maiden Barn, Essex Wedding Barn

Maidens Barn – Essex Barns Wedding Venue

The 200-year-old Maidens Barn is a first-class venue in a beautiful rural setting. Perfect for intimate occasions, or for larger weddings with up to 200 guests, it is licensed to hold civil ceremonies indoors or outdoors. And the happy couple can spend their first night of married life in the charming but luxurious Honeymoon Cottage, complete with four poster bed, jacuzzi and privacy. The venue is within easy reach of Braintree and Chelmsford, meaning it’s also just a short drive to Stansted Airport – perfect if you’re planning to jet off on honeymoon straight from the venue!

That Amazing Place

That Amazing Place – Wedding Venue in Essex

I’m a recommended magician for the aptly named That Amazing Place, a stunning venue that offers couples exclusive use. It is a Grade II listed 15th-century manor house set in beautiful gardens with a lake. It can hold up to 150 guests, but always has a cosy, intimate feel about it that so many wedding parties love. That Amazing Place is located in the beautiful Essex countryside, but it is just a short drive from Harlow making it convenient for the M11 and M25.

Gaynes Park

Set in 1,000 acres of beautiful grounds, Gaynes Park is a wonderful venue for weddings whatever time of year. You can hold your civil ceremony indoors or outdoors in the grounds – the Orangery is a perfect setting – or the Park’s ancient woodland. Surrounded by farmland and woodland, it provides a great countryside setting – you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but actually you’re within easy reach of Epping and North London. You’ll have exclusive use of the house and gardens, and the venue has an in-house events team who will help you make your wedding really special.

When hiring these or any other wedding venue in Essex, it’s time to think about ways to delight your guests. My award-winning wedding magic is a fantastic way of entertaining people of all ages. Check out my gallery and videos to see what I can do, then contact me to check availability.
