Magic can put the fun into the party atmosphere, bringing flair and energy to the evening. At the beginning of any party, there is a tendency for things to be subdued as people settle in. As a host, you’ll want to make sure that this quiet time is kept to a minimum. So, it’s always a good idea to find a way of breaking the ice as quickly as possible.
Hiring a magician to appear at the beginning of the evening is a great way to get people talking to people they don’t know. They’ll start talking because it gives them something in common that they want to talk about, whether it’s marvelling over the mystery of how the trick was done or expounding their theory about how they think I did it.
One of the joys of being a professional magician is knowing that I’m bringing people together. At a party, I’ll work the room, performing close up magic informally to small groups, and I know by the way they react and the increase in noise levels that it works!
By the time I’ve been around the room and performed for everyone, the party is usually in full swing, so you’re then all set for the rest of the night.
Alternatively, another hugely successful way of treating your guests to magical entertainment is to hire me to do a cabaret performance later on in the evening. Cabaret magic works best as after-dinner entertainment, allowing your guests to sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
Take a look at my gallery and videos to see for yourself what kind of tricks I perform and how delighted guests are when I perform them. It doesn’t matter if you’re planning a house party, a dinner dance or hiring a banquet hall in a castle, I will entertain your guests with my special blend of New Year magic!
