Why you need a Christmas Magician at your party

This is Why you need a Christmas Magician at your Party

The nights are drawing in, the temperature’s dropping and the countryside is filled with colour as the leaves turn a magical smorgasbord of red and orange hues. It’s that time of year when companies start looking forward to the festive season and planning their Christmas parties. If you’re looking for entertainment ideas for your works do, you’ll need to plan something that’ll go down well with everyone regardless of age or interests. In my experience, magic is always a winner! This is Why you need a Christmas Magician at your Party.

Icebreaker

Does your company have many different branches? If you’re having a big bash to say thank you to your employees for all their hard work throughout the year, having close-up magic at your drinks reception will help break the ice between the different groups.

The best time to book me would be earlier in the proceedings once everyone’s had a chance to arrive. What I’ll do is go around the room performing tricks for small groups of guests. This always gets everyone chatting and laughing, which naturally attracts other people over to see what’s going on. They’ll then join in the fun and, as a result, the energy levels in that part of the room go up, and different groups of people begin to talk to each other.

I’ll then move on to a different part of the room and perform more tricks, and so on until I’ve covered everyone.

Waiting at tables

If your Christmas party involves a sit-down meal for a lot of people, magic is a brilliant way of keeping hungry guests happy as they wait for their food to be served. There are always tables that will be served last, and I can help prevent the guests at those tables getting hungrier and hungrier as they jealously watch other people tucking into their meals!

By liaising with the waiting staff, I will start with the tables that will be the last to be served. This is to keep your guests entertained so they don’t realise they’re waiting. By the time I’ve finished performing at the last table, their meals will be on the way. Then, after the first table has been cleared, I’ll perform for them as they wait for the next course and then I’ll carry on around the room performing at each table in line with the order of food service.

Come to the cabaret

If you’re looking for great after dinner entertainment, talk to me about doing stage cabaret. Using a mix of magic, mentalism, audience participation and even a few circus tricks thrown in, I’ll thoroughly entertain your guests and give them great memories of your event.
