Britain’s Got Talent: Who is Jamie Raven?

Most of the nation have been glued to their TV screens over the last few weeks watching this year’s dramatic and entertaining episodes of Britain’s got talent. As the remaining acts battle it out every night this week in the semi-finals the question on everyone’s lips is who will win this Sunday’s grand final?

Jamie Raven BGT Magician

Tonight is the turn of Jamie Raven to hit the semi-finalist stage, the illusionist from Hammersmith has been rehearsing his magic tricks ever since he was a young boy and it seems all his hard work and dedication paid off in his audition. He managed to wow the judges and even impressed Simon Cowell leading him to say:

“I know this sounds crazy but I now actually believe in magic.”

Jamie started with some impressive close up tricks, transforming a £50 note into some personalised BGT branded notes right in front of the judge’s eyes.

After a spectacular start Jamie continued to amaze both the audience and all four judges using a deck of cards and a cartoon stick man – that’s right! Watch for yourself here

Another nine acts including Jamie will be striving to impress tonight in the semi-finals as only 2 will secure their places to Sunday night’s final. We are all left wondering what Jamie will bring to the stage to outdo his last performance.

Who will you be cheering on through tonight’s show? My votes are most definitely behind Jamie Raven, magic and illusion is an extremely difficult act to master especially in front of the nation under the bright lights of the stage. Hats off to him!
