Best Wedding Entertainment

A Magician Remains Best Wedding Entertainment in UK…

So, you have organised the main elements that make up the big day, such as booking the venue and confirming the date. Now you need to organise catering (if it isn’t included with the venue hire) and then the day and evening entertainment. When it comes to entertainment, there are so many different types available. This article will show you why hiring a professional magician remains the best wedding entertainment in the UK.

Add Magic to Your Special Day: Book Your Wedding Magician

Wedding magic throughout the day

Your special day is all about you! With all eyes on you both, it’s understandable that you will be in high demand. From coordinating with the photographer to liaising with the venue staff about arrangements and timings. You’ll have a lot to handle. Not to mention, your guests will be eager to chat with you throughout the day. While you’ll likely recognise most of the attendees, this is also an excellent chance to meet your new spouse’s friends and family. The day will be a whirlwind of activity, and it will fly by before you even realise it!

However, things will be different for your guests. They will obviously be excited about your wedding, but it won’t be such a busy day for them. It’s likely they’ll only know a few of your other guests (at least at the beginning of the day). And it will take time for everyone to relax enough to get chatting. There are also going to be times in the day when they’ll be waiting for the next thing to happen, and those are the most likely times that energy levels will start to drop. And this is when the best wedding entertainment ideas come into play.

By entertaining your wedding guests, especially in those times when energy levels drop, you’ll help to make your special day as exciting and memorable for them as it will be for you.

How can a magician best entertain your guests?

As an experienced sleight-of-hand wedding magician, I can be a valuable asset to your wedding day. There is so much more to keeping your guests entertained than simply performing my close-up magic. My role is also to help people get to know each other and to keep their energy levels high. After all, your wedding day will probably be the first time some of your guests have met each other! The various friends and relatives at weddings tend to stick to their own groups. But when you hire me, I use my magic and humour to bring people together and get them talking, laughing, and having fun.

Close up magic is a great ice breaker

When I perform close-up magic at the drinks reception, I move around the room, performing for small groups of people. What often happens is that the chatting and laughter attract other people over because they want to join in the fun. As I work the room, I create a magical atmosphere that lifts the conversation and the energy levels.

Close-up magic is particularly good for the times when you, the happy couple, are otherwise occupied. This will happen at the drinks reception immediately after the wedding ceremony, when the official photos are being taken, and before your guests are ‘warmed up’ enough to entertain themselves. Magic also works extremely well in the time between the end of the meal and the beginning of the evening’s activities. This is a time when there is traditionally a slump in energy levels. Crucially, it’s also the time when the evening guests begin to arrive. What I do is get the day guests re-energised and help them mingle with the guests who have just arrived. That means everyone is ready to party by the time the dancing begins, which ensures the evening’s activities start with a bang!

Wedding table magic

I also possess the skill to conduct table magic. Which serves as an entertaining act for diners while they are seated at their respective tables during dinner events. This particular skill is especially advantageous when there are numerous guests in attendance. To execute this performance, I will coordinate with the waiting staff to determine the sequence in which the tables will be served. Starting with the tables that will be served last, I will perform magic tricks. Creating a diversion that will distract them from the fact that others are already eating. As the earlier tables are cleared, I will progressively move on to perform for them while they await the next course.
