2022 Wedding venues in Bedfordshire

Over the years, I’ve performed close up magic at many Bedfordshire weddings, working in some of the best wedding venues in the county as a result. If you’re planning to get married in Bedfordshire and are looking for somewhere memorable to spend your special day, here are some of the most beautiful venues on offer.

Luton Hoo

Once the seat of lords and ladies but now a luxury hotel, Luton Hoo offers a number of options depending on the size of your wedding party. Set in over a thousand acres of countryside, and with formal gardens designed by Capability Brown, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to take photos with a stunning background. Luton Hoo is a Grade I listed mansion that offers a luxury setting for between 50 and 120 guests. Facilities include a spa with indoor infinity pool and a Championship golf course.

Alternatively, you can hire Warren Weir at Luton Hoo, an exclusive-use venue that offers your wedding party complete privacy. It caters for up to 120 guests and has 84 bedrooms to accommodate them.

The Conservatory at the Luton Hoo Walled Garden

The Conservatory is a marquee erected in the Luton Hoo Walled Garden. You will have exclusive use of the enchanting garden, which is part of the Luton Hoo estate. The marquee can hold up to 400 guests and is a fabulous venue – I know because I’ve performed magic there at weddings in the past!

Flitwick Manor, near Woburn

Woburn Abbey is closed for renovations until 2024, but if you’ve got your heart set on a Woburn wedding, you’ll be delighted with Flitwick Manor, which is just down the road. The hotel is a Grade II listed property, with space for up to 60 guests indoors and many more if you would like to set up a marquee in the gardens. The venue is even pet-friendly, so if you want your favourite pooch to be part of your big day, they will be welcome to stay with you.

The Auction House, Asian wedding specialist

The Auction House in Luton was purpose-built to host Asian weddings with up to 650 guests. It is licensed for civil ceremonies and will also hold Mandap and Nikah ceremonies. Trained chefs are happy to create high-quality Asian cuisine with options for Punjabi (non-Halal), Halal-certified, vegetarian and Gujarati cuisine.

The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm

If you’re planning an outdoor countryside wedding, The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm offers three acres of meadowland on the side of a beautiful lake. You’ll have all the essentials included in the core package, and you can hire a marquee, yurt, teepee or whatever you like. They also offer camping and glamping packages for you and your guests, so you can party the night away without having to worry about getting a cab home.

Stowe House

If you really want to push the boat out, the magnificent 18th century Stowe House will provide you with all the stately home elegance you could ever dream of. The mansion’s State Rooms can hold between 40 and 160 guests, or for larger parties, a marquee can be erected on the South Lawn. The mansion is set in 880 acres of grounds which are maintained by the National Trust.

There are many magical wedding venues in Bedfordshire. Wherever you’re planning to hold yours, talk to me about how I can help you make it even more magical for you and all your guests. Hiring a wedding magician is one of the best ways to entertain guests, and I’ll get everyone talking and laughing, so they’ll always remember what a magical day it was.
