The 7 Best Wedding Venues in Buckinghamshire

Best Buckinghamshire wedding venues

Buckinghamshire is full of stunning wedding venues that are unsurprisingly extremely popular for weddings and receptions. Here’s my personal selection of, what I consider, the 7 Best Wedding Venues in Buckinghamshire:

Notley Abbey

If you’re looking for a venue with a glamorous history, consider the stunning mediaeval Notley Abbey. The Abbey was once home to Hollywood royalty Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. It offers the perfect blend of country manor house charm and sophisticated glamour to provide an enchanting, romantic setting, making it a justifiably popular wedding venue. You’ll get exclusive use, and there is a bridal suite plus eight guest bedrooms for your closest family and friends. I’ve performed wedding magic there myself in the past and can confidently say it’s an incredible setting.

Missenden Abbey

The 12th-century Missenden Abbey is another venue that will provide a stunning background to an unforgettable wedding day. With 10 acres of grounds, there will be plenty of opportunities for beautiful photographs. And there are at least 30 en-suite bedrooms available for guests in addition to the bridal suite.

Stoke Place

In the countryside on the outskirts of Slough is the 17th-century manor house Stoke Place. The mansion is set in 26 acres of parkland, with a beautiful lake, making it a wonderfully magical setting. There are 39 luxury bedrooms for guests, including the spacious bridal suite.

Villiers Hotel

If you’d rather get married in a town centre, the Villiers Hotel is in the centre of the market town of Buckingham. The ceremony and reception will take place in the refurbished Grand Ballroom, and the venue caters for up to 180 guests. In addition to a choice between two bridal suites, there are also 48 bedrooms.

The Kings Chapel

If you’re looking for a venue that’s a little unusual, the Kings Chapel is for you. Located in the picture-postcard town of Old Amersham it is the perfect Buckinghamshire wedding venue. The building is a restored 18th-century chapel with a spectacular domed ceiling and beautiful walled garden. The Chapel is next door to two old coaching inns with more than enough accommodation for you and your guests.

Rackleys Luxury Wedding Barn

Combine the romance of a traditional barn with 21st-century luxury, and you’ve got Rackleys Luxury Wedding Barn. Located in the heart of the Chiltern Hills with excellent views of the countryside from the stunning gardens, this venue is pure magic. There is no accommodation available, but the venue does offer a comfortable and spacious Bride’s Room where members of the core wedding party can get ready. There are a number of places offering accommodation just a short cab ride away.

Wingbury Farm Glamping

If the outdoor life is more your style, then Wingbury Farm near Aylesbury could be the perfect venue for you. A glamping site, it has luxury pods that are fitted with all mod cons, including en-suite bathrooms and outdoor hot tubs. It’s the ultimate in countryside luxury that will provide a fun and charming start to your married life.

How to make your wedding even more magical

So, you have seen the 7 best wedding venues in Buckinghamshire, and as we know, the venue is the most important part of your wedding. But if you really want to make sure it’s an occasion for everyone to remember, you need to think about what’s going to happen on the big day, and how to make the day as memorable for your guests as it is for you. Great entertainment is an essential for any wedding, and it will make everyone smile when they think about your special day.

As an award-winning wedding magician, I have plenty of experience bringing my own brand of magic into your already magical day. I can help break the ice with guests who’ve never met each other before, keep the energy levels high, and keep your guests entertained while you’re busy having your photographs taken. Look at my gallery to see photos and videos of the effect I can have on you and your guests, then contact me if you’d like to know more!
