Drinks reception

After your wedding ceremony, you and your new spouse will be caught up in a whirlwind of activity. Everyone will want to congratulate you, and the photographer will need to take you away to pose for the official photos. This is now the perfect opportunity for some live close up magic during the drinks reception.

This is typically the first opportunity for all the different groups of guests to get to know each other on your special day. What I will do is mingle and perform my sophisticated brand of magic to a few guests at a time creating a real buzz. What generally happens is that when other guests hear people laughing and see that something’s going on, they’ll wander over to have a closer look. This always gets people talking, and raises the energy levels. And that’s when guests introduce themselves to each other and start chatting. The perfect ice breaker!

Table magic

If you have a lot of guests, magic during the wedding breakfast is a superb idea as it’s inevitable that some guests will have to wait to be served their food – especially if they are on the last table. My contemporary and charming style of table magic will have guests eager to watch my performance as I mingle from table to table between the courses. What I will do is liaise with the waiting staff to find out the order in which tables are served, and then perform to the appropriate tables at the right time. This is a great magical distraction of the non-diners who are no longer conscious of how long they’re waiting for their food!

This way I’ll cover every table ensuring a great energy around the entire room.

Occasionally, if it’s a large wedding, I’ll be hired to perform at the drinks reception and at the wedding breakfast. I can also put on a cabaret-style show from the top table if that’s what you’d prefer.

How far do you travel?

I regularly perform all over the UK and internationally so distance is not an issue. I am happy to travel any distance to be a part of your special day providing the magical entertainment.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Bookings should be made 12 weeks to 18 months in advance. The earlier you book, the more likely I will be free on your chosen date.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes I do. I am a member of Equity which insures my act. All fully licenced wedding venues require performers to have public liability insurance.
